Here is the star that tops our tree. As you can see we need something else (this is just an ornament). Do you have a great star or angel or have any idea where to get a great one? We also need a tree skirt if there are any ideas there!

I love your star! Could you get some wire and kind of do the same type of deal, only bigger? Our star is made from 5 of those looooong crafty cinnamon sticks glued together with hot glue. There’s kind of a yucky picture of it here. http://allegriaimagesbylynn.blogspot.com/2009/12/day-89.html Dark in the photo, because of I was experimenting with making the tree lights sparkly, but you get the idea. I love it–but then, it goes with our woodlandy, handmade tree. And it’s really not that dark looking, irl, even with only the tree lights on. I had the photos underexposed on purpose, to get the lights to look like stars. Didn’t quite work as I had hoped, but there you go!.
P You could go crazy and spray paint it silver or something! Or use dowels instead of cinnamon and hot glue cool beads and spangles all over it. Hmn…the possibilities!

I think a rectangular table of ‘festive’ colors works well under the tree!
