The “why” phase has begun.

It wasn’t so long ago that the “no” phase began.  His old favorite word (paired with “mine” of course) has changed to “why.”  Here was our conversation:

Josh: Finn has starting sucking his thumb.

Me: Finn, who do you see sucking their thumb?  Does someone at Trish’s suck their thumb?

Finn: No.

Me: Sucking your thumb is not a good thing to do.

Finn: Why?

Me: Because it’s full of germs and it will mess up your teeth.

Finn: Why?

Me: Because that’s the way God made you.

Finn: Why?

Me: You’ll have to ask Him when you see Him.
