The answer to all our problems.

Watch this first.

I don’t really know what to say about this except God must have sent Gingrich to solve all our problems.  I mean seriously, why didn’t we think of this?  Who knew working hard solved poverty?

If you didn’t hear the sarcasm, pretend it was in my sarcastic font I’m working on, and then read it again.

In all seriousness, we owe a great debt of gratitude to Gingrich, Cain, and the like.  We couldn’t do a better job campaigning for 4 more years with fairy dust.  Can all the humans who have brains in their heads agree Obama is the winner of idiots that share their brilliant plans?!?!

I learned a long time ago that the “public” is basically dumb. They want simple answers to complex problems. Poverty: complex problem. Simple solution: Work harder.

Never mind that this solution hasn’t worked for 5000 years.

I don’t entirely disagree with the point that children of lazy parents are lazy. . . but I do disagree that poor children belong to lazy people who are poor because they don’t try. My mum worked her arse off, we were poor, I’m a doctor now. Shabam.

(I think there is definitely an issue, where ‘poor’ families work the system and get things for their kids without legitimately working for it, and those kids grow up feeling like the world owes them things. . . but it’s a classic rotten apple spoils the whole bunch. Growing up, my mum worked in social services and knew without a doubt some people milked the system, never worked, and had more luxuries than she could provide for her children on her meagre salary. It became especially frustrating when she later lost her job, went on social assistance herself, and was to honest to take advantage the way she knew others did. She was never not looking for work, and the constant rejection was very hard on her. . . but she never gave up and just lived off handouts, which is probably why my brother and I have good work ethic.)
