Insanity is hereditary; you get it from your children.

Happy Mother’s Day all!!  I’m woefully behind and overwhelmed in my life…in the best possible way.  I would promise to write more, but then it will turn into a lie, so I shall make no promises.

I’m cheating and linking to some of my old posts and stealing from others that I love.

To the mom that built me.

Mother’s Day 2009

This is how I feel about Mother’s Day (for myself):

mother'sday

I think it’s important to remember those on this day who have made the CHOICE not to have children, as that’s as JUST of a valid choice as being a mother:

And Lastly I want to leave you with one of my favorite posts of all time from the genius I call Sprite’s Keeper.  I had to steal share this because of the genius.  Let’s just say I’m a fan of hers!!

I’m a fan of moms who create a game out of waiting in long lines.

I’m a fan of moms who refuse to bend under the force of their child’s whines.

I’m a fan of moms who take control and are not afraid to discipline.

I’m a fan of moms who can stop a tantrum before it can begin.

I’m a fan of moms who are prepared for it all, the what, the where, the why.

I’m a fan of moms who are completely frazzled and look like they’re about to cry.

I’m a fan of moms who get creative, who don’t mind playing in the dirt.

I’m a fan of moms who comfort their kids and kiss away the hurt.

I’m a fan of moms who’d rather play than answer their ringing cell.

I’m a fan of moms who snuggle with their kids and take a nap as well.

I’m a fan of moms who proudly proclaim their kids do watch tv.

I’m also a fan of those who don’t, even if it’s not for me.

I’m a fan of moms who read to their kids, no matter their child’s age.

I’m a fan of moms who admit sometimes, they may skip a lengthy page.

I’m a fan of moms who admit to others that they sometimes need a break.

I’m a fan of dads who step right in when Mommy’s sanity is at stake.

I’m a fan of moms who are real, who don’t have to pretend.

I’m a fan of moms who buck tradition, those who set their own trend.

I’m a fan of moms who bring more than enough Goldfish for all to share,

I’m a fan of moms who call out their own kids, when they’re not playing fair.

I’m a fan of moms who roll with the punches, when life’s just not going with the plan.
